Stanley Park Festival

The Stanley Park Festival takes place from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd April.

Friday

Leanne Campbell will be live from Stanley Park as we wake up Little Girl Giant ahead of her journey of discovery in Liverpool.

Breakfast with the giant for 200 local school children, who will then be staying in the park and will be involved in a variety of activities with:

LFC in the community
Everton in the Community
The park rangers
Lifestyles Gym – wake up and shine
Fire Brigade

From 1 -4 pm Liverpool Housing Trust will be showing the Titanic film on the big screen in Stanley Park

At 4pm, entertainment and food and drink will be available within the park to await the arrival of the second giant – the little girl’s uncle who has been diving to the bottom of the sea to get her letter.

Also at 4pm there will be an Afternoon Tea dance in the conservatory for local older residents (sponsored by all of the local housing associations)

The second giant arrives at 6.30pm and the family fun will continue until 8pm.

Saturday

Dan Roach will be live from Stanley Park Festival at 8am as we wait for the diver to wake.

Once the diver leaves at 11am the festival will commence.

There will be a children’s zone – including Water Zorb’s, LFC and EFC in the community, climbing wall, bungee trampolines, donkeys, and loads more

As well as something for the kids there is an entertainment zone – including a stage with music, which will also be used to showcase local talent.

There will also be a football zone for the boys!

In the Food and Drink Zone there will be an array of local suppliers selling their produce. There is also a traditional converted London PIMMS bus, Magners Truck, Coca Cola Bars and Rekordlig Cider Bus.

The Festival will run to 8pm on the Saturday.

Sunday

Same as the Saturday – opening hours 11 – 8pm.

Within the football quarter Everton V Manchester United will be shown live at 12.30 kick off, prior to the LFC kick off of 4pm. This area will be charged for and ticketed prior to the match, with children going free.

The showing of the football is a first for Stanley Park and it will hopefully happen on a more regular basis.
