At home:

  • Set up a Just Giving page- this makes it really easy for your friends and family to sponsor you and you can also send the link by email or post it to your Facebook page.
  • Use your hobbies/ the event you are doing for ideas i.e Guess the time sheet- Create a sheet of 30 times for running the marathon, each person gives you £2 to guess and the winner could get £20 and your raise £40.
  • Hold an event- Your local school or community centre may let you hold an event such as a quiz night for free or for a small charge.
  • Ask your local pub if you can hold a pub quiz and charge a fee for entering the quiz.
  • Hold a games night with friends chargin an entry fee and selling drinks and food.
At work:
  • Hold a dress down/ fancy dress day.
  • Hold a cake sale or make breakfast in work and charge for bacon/sausage sandwiches etc.
  • Open a tuck shop and sell bags of sweets/ chocolate.
  • Hold a quiz in work that collegues can do in their lunchtime- you could charge an entry fee and give a prize to the winner (may be donated by the company)/
  • Some employers will have a sponsership matching scheme that could double your sponsorship total.
